With more than 10.000 members, the Real Club de Polo has become a social and sports benchmark in Catalonia.
The Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, founded in 1897, is a reference entity in the city of Barcelona, both in the sports and social fields. Initially created to practice the game of Polo and horse jumping, the club has been able to adapt to the times and has evolved according to each moment, currently counting with more than 10,500 members.
With five high-level sports sections: Polo, Equestrian, Hockey, Tennis and Paddle, and the Sport Center dedicated to fitness and other physical activities, the club combines tradition and modernity. More than 60 Olympic athletes have been raised in its facilities.
Especially noteworthy are their hockey teams (the first men’s team is the current Spanish champion), paddle, and among their veteran tennis players are the most important on the national scene.
The Club combines the vocation of service to its members with the organization of high level events: The International Hockey Tournament of Inmaculada, the Barcelona Polo Challenge – Negrita Cup or the ITF Senior Tennis (with the maximum degree awarded by the International Federation) are prepared, modelled and held in their facilities for the joy of all the people of Barcelona.
